Speaking in terms of the NHL, not that I'm aware of. While it's difficult to prove a negative, I have never heard of any attempts to have the Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, or Montreal Canadiens alter their red uniforms or (in Detroit's case) drop the word "Red" from their name.

Though I will not that the Cincinnati Reds briefly changed their name to the Redlegs for a few years in the 1950s, but I'm not too familiar with baseball to expand in that, aside from they reverted back eventually.
