Many European countries take pride themselves in having Freedom of Press. However, how was the situation like in their colonies? Would there be the possibility open critisism of the French in Algeria by Algerians, or elsewhere like in India or South-east Asia ?
Press freedom is recent phenomenon in Europe, Its not like they have press freedom since press started . Many people are sent to jail for treason and anti colonial attitudes in India by ruling British class.
