So far I have been unable to find a decent book on the subject. I'm looking for a book on the actual military history of the wars, not the political and diplomatic events surrounding the wars. A book with maps of the battles and specific details of the army compositions and detailed examinations of the battles themselves is what I am looking for, any suggestions?
On top of the others I would recommend: -Arthur M. Eckstein, Rome Enters the Greek East: From Anarchy to Hierarchy in the Hellenistic Mediterranean, 230-170 BC. Malden, MA; Oxford; Chichester: Wiley-Blackwell, 2012. Pp. xi, 439.
For the factual evenements of the Roman-seleucid war: J. GRAINGER, The Roman War of Antiochos the Great, 2002
