The crown might have looked something like this. This is of course the holy crown of Hungary, depicting Christ Pantokrator, Full images of archangels Michael and Gabriel and half images of Saints Damian, Cosimas, Demetrius and George. The bottom part (up to the line of pearls) of the crown is of Greek origin and was given to by Michael VII Doukas to Synadene, wife of King Geza I of Hungary in the 1070s. It was not a new crown, but was redecorated and remodelled from the crown of a previous empress. Since (to my knowledge) all the actual Byzantine crown jewels have been destroyed this is one of the few genuine Byzantine crowns we have left.
