Could you narrow down your interests a teeny tiny bit? "History" is a bit broad.
Also not finding academic sources for a topic might be due to how/where you're looking. It's unlikely that a topic (any topic) you can think of doesn't have any academic sources at all. Perhaps it's better to ask for help looking for sources rather than looking for a topic with 'plenty' of sources (too many sources can be a problem too...).
