Can someone help me identify the historical figure from this statue please?

Created an account just for this! I'm trying to help a friend identify who the historical figure in this statue might be:

I also made a post over at a /r/whatisthisthing, but I figured since this is most likely a historical figure, someone here might recognise him immediately.

I showed it to a friend who is a bit of a history buff and he seems to think it could be either Joseph the Worker or Saint Barnabas, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Please help solve this mystery!

I think it is Joseph. There is a story about how Mary's husband is chosen. The unmarried men go to the temple with staffs and the one that blossoms with lilies is the one who will take her as his wife. Just a guess though.

I'm going to have to agree that its Joseph, the flower that he is holding is the lily.

Here's another statue of his, holding lilies and a carpenter's tool.
