Form equals function based on available resources. The plow is an excellent example. The design of the plow was pretty uniform across Europe, Asia and Africa but unknown in the Americas. Those that developed the plow had beasts of burden such as horses and oxen. Before Europeans came to the Americans there were none and the plow did not exist for them.
