So I've studied a lot about the Cuban Revolution and I had never heard of a book burning led by Che before so I did some research. I was only find one source mentioning it and it is a book by a Cuban exile by the name of Humberto Fontova entitled Exposing the Real Che Guevara and the Useful Idiots who Idolize Him.

Fontova claims that one of Che's first acts was to burn the library of a journalist and anti-communist activist by the name of Salvador Diaz-Verson. The motive was to allegedly destroy an archive of information pertaining to communists throughout Latin America. Basically if Che was going to spread revolucion throughout Latin America it would be a bit of an issue if the US knew of all of the possible sympathizers throughout the region. I do not know of any other sources that mention this incident but if Fontova is to be believed, Diaz-Verson's library wasn't necessarily burned for the ideas it contained but for it's potential intelligence value to anti-communist forces.
