Where can I learn everything there is about Andrew Jackson?

Even the gritty and horrible details most schoolbooks leave out. Y'know, ESPECIALLY those!

For everything you can try Robert V. Remini's 3-volume biography of Jackson: (vol. 1) Andrew Jackson: The Course of American Empire, 1767-1821; (vol. 2) Andrew Jackson: The Course of American Freedom, 1822-1832; and (vol. 3) Andrew Jackson: The Course of American Democracy, 1833-1845.

Or, for the less Jackson-obsessed among us, you could instead try Remini's 1-volume abridgement of his 3-volume set: The Life of Andrew Jackson.

If you're not scared of raw history and you have a decent university library nearby, try the 8 volumes of the ongoing project The Papers of Andrew Jackson that thus far cover his life up to 1831.
