I've been wondering about this for awhile now. I understand that it would have been likely that I would be taken in by relatives.

But what if I had no relatives or did they didn't want me. As for age lets say 8.

Also, would the nature of my parents fate change what would happen to me. Like if they died due to a natural disaster or from a illness effecting the city? Would the state become involved or would I be left to my own devices.
