In Nazi Germany, if you murdered a Jewish person would you have gotten away with it?

by Chewiemuse

I hope this doesn't seem anti Semitic, it's purely an educational question, because with the way Germany was at the time it seems plausible

So I tried googling it and just got death camp results

The situation I would be referring to would be say some civilian killed his Jewish neighbor just because he..stole his mail or something

Would he have gotten away with it just because the person was Jewish or was there still a judicial system protecting minorities, gypsies, the disabled, and Jewish people?
