I think a better candidate for your question would be Ancient Egypt. We know a lot about the Old Kingdom, the civilization, and why they built the pyramids for one simple reason - a written language. Since the Ancient Egyptians (started roughly around 3100 bc so almost 5000 years ago) wrote down about their pharaohs and even some every day matters, we have a pretty good grasp on what they were like.
Now, that being said, although many of the world powers today will be remembered 5000 years from now (think G8 or G20), many of the countries where there is great poverty and other socio-economical issues probably won't. They'll be mentioned (just as the Ancient Egyptians mentioned cultures that we really have very little else on) but the vast majority of people won't "know" of them - unlike say, the Americans or the Chinese.
Sorry. This is /r/AskHistorians and not /r/ConsultOracles. Answering this question would require people to violate our rule against speculation.
