My father has gotten into selling antiques. He has come across an old wooden beer keg from Pabst Brewing Co. Can anyone here give a rough date of when this type of keg may have in use?

I do not know if this is the wrong sub but thought maybe some of you guys might know your North American beer history.

Photos of the keg can be found below:

The name was changed to Pabst Brewing Co. in 1889. During prohibition (1920-1933), Pabst took "Brewing" out of the company name, stopped making beer and made cheese instead. So if it's from pre-prohibition it would have been from 1889-1920.

Is there a tap hole on the top/bottom/side or just the bung hole?
