What do you mean by 'country'? You mention the Nation-State in your description - this concept typically only applies after the Treaty of Westphalia.

What do you mean by 'economy'? Centralised control? A fixed currency? Taxes? Nations come and go, but economies always persist. People have been bartering for goods since before history was recorded.
