How did the Woman fighting in the Red Army during WWII feel about the mass rape committed by the Soviets?

by IrishEv

I know that the Nazis were trying to kill as many Soviets as possible and that they committed rapes as well. On top of that, the fighting was brutal and Soviet propaganda encouraged revenge, but did the women serving in the Red Army feel bad for the German woman? On a human level?

A follow up question: were the women serving in an army (as nurses, cooks etc.) raped, or was it just the women of the enemies?

Is there even any documentation of the rape, on a systemic level, or was it mostly anecdotal many years later? It seems like one of those subjects about which it's very difficult to find actual documentation.

I'm very interested in seeing examples of incitement of revenge. Could you help, please?
