The original Hippocratic Oath contains a clause banning the doctor from conducting an abortion. What do we know about ancient societies' laws regarding abortion and infanticide?
According to this commenter Hippocrates may not have intended an all-encompassing ban on abortion. I'm still curious as to how Pre-Roman societies handled the issue.
