Some of you here might have played Assassin's Creed Unity. I heard that one of the major flaws in the game was the inclusion of doorknobs which hadn't been invented till then. Are are any other historical inaccuracies in the game?
The largest historical inaccuracy involved that of Napoleon. I can't remember the exact time line since it's been months since I played the game but from July 1793 till the Thermidorian reaction, Napoleon was serving in the Army as an artillery captain and later general in the Army of Italy (but he'd lose that position for being tied to Augustin Robespierre, the brother of Maximilian Robespierre). While before the Revolution and during the early days he might have been able to stop in Paris and claim illness, once the Revolution started to kick off, France needed her officers to be active or else they might be kicked out or accused of spying for the enemy. So, for Napoleon to be knocking holes in walls with guns (which would more than likely go through most of the house and killed our protagonist ), it would have to involve a lot of bending of rules.
Most importantly, the accent is atrocious. Napoleon was well known for speaking with an Italian accident yet he's given a perfidious English voice. I can only imagine Napoleon would be spinning in his tomb if he heard his character speaking with a British accent.
