Why were the Jehovah's Witnesses specifically marked as a threat by the Nazis during World War II?

Jehovah's Witnesses refused to swear loyalty to the government and because of their religion also refused to serve in the armed forces. They were given the choice to avoid persecution by submitting to the government and swearing an allegiance, however because of their religious beliefs they chose rather to be sent to camps or even death. To submit would have been the equivalent of abandoning their faith. There are several sources to read, i have linked one below.
