Today:
Welcome to this week's instalment of /r/AskHistorians' Sunday Digest (formerly the Day of Reflection). Nobody can read all the questions and answers that are posted here, so in this thread we invite you to share anything you'd like to highlight from the last week - an interesting discussion, an informative answer, an insightful question that was overlooked, or anything else.
/u/alvisefalier blew me away with his response to my question about Italian-speaking Swiss during the risorgimento, and all of you should go take a look!
Unfortunately, I didn't get an answer to my question Why were Usman dan Fodio and the Sokoto Caliphate so successful at spreading Islam in their territory? It's a little outside the common range of questions on this subreddit, but I'm hopeful I'll get an answer.
I know I asked this only 15 hours ago, but I'm going to throw it up here in case any of my fellow Mesoamerinerds know the answer and missed seeing it.
