Throughout history, various disenfranchised social and ethnic groups have made attempts to militarize themselves. Have women as a social group ever made a serious attempt at militarization? Has there ever been a militant women's group?

African-Americans had the black panthers, the Irish rebelled, etc. Have women ever created a militant group?

I'm no expert, but in the absence of other answers: look into Valerie Solanas and SCUM. SCUM being the Society for Cutting Up Men. She's best know for the attempted murder of Andy Warhol, though, not starting an effective movement.

Most female "militaries" I know are part of a bigger left wing ideology.

Mujeres libres were the Anarchist women militia during the Spanish Civil War. The kurdish PKK has a lot of female fighters, the Kurds of Syria have the YPJ which is the female armed branch of the military.

The Suffragettes used violence to pursue their goals. These probably fit your question best.
