Been delving into Reformation history recently and I'm interested in learning more about Thomas More. What are some good biographies, both largely positive and largely negative, concerning the man?
Read Roper for the hagiographic take on his life but it's a pro-Catholic, pro-More, family take.
Modern suggestions would be Marius and Guy, and if you're bored, Ackroyd. Avoid Ridley.
