Are there any exceptional sources that you would recommend? Most American newspapers depict primarily German atrocities. Preferably these sources would show an American Perspective on the invasion, so things like bills and laws passed, embargoes made and such.
I would recommend Timothy Snyder's Bloodlands. I recommended it to someone earlier and another user said Snyder against Russians in his writings but I didn't have that experience with it (it was assigned in one of my grad seminars)
