What was the general view of communism held by the lower and middle class post WWl in Europe?

Were there ever rally's or events held by citizens in favor of communism? If so, why?

There were more than rallies. In the immediate aftermath of WWI, there was the Spartacist Uprising, the Bavarian Soviet Republic, the Hungarian Soviet Republic, not to mention the formation of Communist Parties, not only all across Europe but in nearly every country in the world, along with the Third International or Comintern.
