What is considered the most comprehensive and most accurate biography of Lincoln?

I know this isn't the usual style of question that this subreddit gets asked, but I think it's still appropriate.

I recently finished Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, Team of Rivals, which I found very illuminating and accessible. However, I really feel that it fell short of any specific details regarding the political genius of Abraham Lincoln, aside from acknowledging its existence.

I realize, too, that there are two types of Lincoln biographies: the comprehensive biographies, chronicling his entire life, as well as the political biographies, chronicling mostly the success and failures of his political career (such as Goodwin's book). I am interested in either, provided that his political genius is well documented.

As a student of history, I also acknowledge the paramount importance of primary sources. As such, I feel that any student of Lincoln's life must read Nicolay's and Hay's biography of Lincoln. Would you agree? I have already resolved to read this book, and I think most historians would agree that this is a good starting point.

However, I also acknowledge that historiography as a discipline has enjoyed leaps and bounds since the 19th century, so I would like a recommendation from you, the learned historians of Le Reddit, as to which of the plethora of biographies I should turn to.

Edit: I proof-read after I turned it in. So sue me.

Really disappointed, this sub is usually pretty good about answering questions from serious posters. Not even a single response.
