Not exactly what you're looking for probably, but kind of overlapping your specified subject matter, Peter Marshall's Demanding the Impossible: A History of Anarchism covers a wide range of socialist/communist movements and tendencies throughout history, including European expressions of it. Hope this helps, somewhat.
EDIT: forgot to mention, as a historian and writer Marshall does write in the anarchist tradition, though he focuses on other subject matter too.
Rudolf Rocker's Anarcho-Syndicalism has an introduction of the history of worker's movements in chapter two. It could be a good place to find directions for further reading of more specific topics.
