What exactly threw Paris in to chaos in the summer of 1945. Ive read the statement "all hell broke loose in the summer of 45" a dozen times it seems. I know about the acts of revenge against suspected collaborators. Was there so much of this happening it turned into fighting in the streets?
I asked this question a few days ago. Would love a little insight as to what happened exactly. Ive looked into a little more over the course of this week and ill ive managed to find was mentions of violence but none of the reasons behind it (besides the revenge on collaborators).
I don't know how frowned upon self-promotion is here, sorry in advance, but I would really like more answers to my question that ,although a good one, only got one reply! I need all the help I can get, as Im rather stuck on this one!
