I know the United Kingdom was founded in 1707 but there were parliaments before that and hundreds of years of England so when did it officially begin?
Before England became known as England, it was known as the heptarchy; seven or more separate kingdoms ruled under different monarchs on the entire Island. But in 927 AD, King Aethelstan gained control of all the kingdoms and made himself "King of the English". So 927 AD would probably be the official founding of England as we know it today
Could you elaborate? The United Kingdom was founded in 1707 because in May 1, 1707, the Kingdom of England (with its English Parliament) and the Kingdom of Scotland (with its Scottish Parliament) joined together as the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Prior to that there was no united kingdom in the British Isles.
