Why do so many Black people in North America have Arabic names?

(Purposefully trying to exclude those who are one or two gen removed from the Africa)

I especially notice that people with these names come from either non-religious or very Christian families and gave their children names like Aisha (Ayesha), Rihanna, Jamal, Rameel.

From what I know, most of the slaves were brought over from West Africa which is a historically Muslim region. Christianity was something that was introduced by the slave owners. This could sway people into naming their children with regard to their west african roots. Aside from that, Nation of Islam played a huge role in the Civil Rights movement and many of the influential leaders of that time had Islamic/Arabic names.
