I've been on a bit of a research binge to try and find some records of the 1964-1965 worlds fair in NYC. My grandfather played that festival with his band "The Tra-Vets" in the Pavilion. I was hoping to come across any kind of documentation of it I could. Photos, perhaps even recordings would be nice.
Looks like the records are in the Archives and Manuscripts Division of the New York Public Library. Judging from this finding aid, you'll have to do some digging — there's more than 1,500 boxes of records listed.
I had reason to research this fair for work actually - and I came across this site which had lots of scans of published material related to the fair like guide books. Might be of some use to you.
You could also try to search the archives of the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper. I have searched there for record of other historical events in the NYC area.
