I watched Miasto 44 yesterday and I strongly recommend you to watch it as well. It's about the Warsaw Uprising.
I know they went to veterans of the Uprising and to the Warsaw Uprising Museum as well but I would like to know what is not accurate in the movie and what is. In terms of military and fights, were the special effects accurate?
Nevertheless you should watch it. It teaches a good part of history as well as an outstanding lesson about humanism and war.
Thanks!
I just saw the movie last night. My family is polish and a lot of what I saw rings true in the "big picture" scheme of things that I learned about in polish school. As far as the details of the military and fights were concerned, it seemed to be pretty accurate except for the "rain" scene (you will know what I am talking about), and when one of the characters is pretty much shot point blank range by the panther tank with a shell and is not blown to pieces.
