I sadly have not had time to get to it but I have heard good things on it as well and it seems to be one of the few books in the English Language focused primarily on the Russian effort against Napoleon.

I read that book and liked it. It contained a lot about the Russian military effort that I didn't understand from other works, especially the strength and weaknesses of their logistics. I can't say that I found it really gripping prose, but the narrative elements do pick up as the later chapters deal more directly with military operations and less with the organization of the Russian government.

It seemed pretty well sourced from what I could tell without reading Russian and it comes from a well regarded academic, so I assume it's quite reliable.
