Ever since I watched the 30 for 30 on Ole Miss, the civil rights movement has fascinated me. And I've been reading through stuff like crazy. It caught my attention that Mississippi has so much on African-American history, and I'd really like to read and own one because of the legacy of the university. Are there any recommendations from them?

I'm not familiar with University of Mississippi Press as much, but I can recommend Rice Gold by Mercer University Press if you're interested in learning what plantation life was like in Georgia during the first half of the 19th century.
