If my question is too specific no more than one or two people provide a good answer. If it is not specific enough the mods delete it. Past posts are a mix.
I realize North America is a huge place, and of course I also mean outside the U.S. I am asking for a broad timeframe, I know. Answer for your specialty please.
Side question: Please don't make this just about pot, but..Native Americans seem to be getting on the pot bandwagon recently, wanting to grow it. What has their stance on marijuana been the last few hundred years?
Natives used antibiotics, antivirals, and anesthetics. some medicines still in use guaiacum, ipecac, kaolin, and quinine. The Mexica had over 1200 medicinal plants with varying uses. They had antiasthmatics, antihelmintics, antispasmodics, astringents, athritis treatments, ear ache treatments, enemas, headache treatments, snake bite treatments, sunscreen, indigestion medications, peyote, ayahuasca, alcohol etc.
