Well, an unskilled laborer would make about 1/5th of a livre, which is some 4 sou, in 1550's Paris. So you can imagine the amount of work to be done before 6000 livre's would be earned. The estimation is that a liter of wheat will have cost you half a sou (1/2 sou). So, well, that's a cartload of food.
