I've had to watch this documentary for a college course I'm taking, and I'm wondering if there are any historians here specializing in Aboriginal Canadian history who can verify if any of the information in the video is correct. I understand that the Residential School system is seen as something that was brutal and often described as a cultural genocide, but I have trouble believing that the information presented in the documentary is correct. You might want to be more specific about what exactly in the documentary you speak of.
He states that 50, 000 children were deliberately murdered and that the Church and Canadian government are currently involved in a cover-up to rpevent this from being known. He also states that many of the murders were as a result of the children being beaten to death. There are insinuations in the video that the Catholoc Church murdered a Residential School survivor who accused them of crimes against humanity.
