So my boyfriend has an old United States Air Force jacket that was worn during the Korean war, and there is a number stamped on the inside collar and it is also hand written. Would any of you know what the number means?

It's the first letter of the owners last name, followed by the last 4 number of their Social Security Number. It is used to easily identify personal items belonging to an individual such as clothing, and is still used to this day in the United States military.
