Well the obvious one was the invention of the Cotton Gin. in 1794 he modernized the mechanical cotton gin which made processing cotton a lot easier. The gin made cleaning and picking the seeds out of the cotton a lot faster and efficient and thus made cotton as a commodity more cost worthy. Because cotton could now be easily processed, the demand for it increased and this also directly led to the increased us of slavery in the U.S. South and eventually the US Civil War
