The Black Plaque in Africa and Asia

I watched a documentary of the plaque going through London in 1325 or so. Death rate estimated as high as 60% in places. What was the effect of the plaque in Africa and Asia? Hard to believe it didn't go to those places. I can see maybe it stopping at the Sahara desert with few people traveling through it and most likely dyeing in route. Did North Africa also get ravaged?

If the Black Plague originally came from China and spread along trade routes, why do we only hear about the carnage it caused in Europe? Was China not affected by the plague?
