Lucian's "A True Story" (sometimes translated "A True History") was written as a bit of mockery of Herodotus' History and other semi-fanciful ethnographic/historical accounts.

In it, the crew of the ship sail to the moon under unusual circumstances whereupon they fight a battle for the moon people against the sun people and then broker a peace before returning to the surface. If I recall, the battle is over winning the rights to colonize some nearby star. It gets called the first science fiction story a lot, but keep in mind it is being intentionally preposterous to make fun of other writers.
