How did major newspapers in large Metro areas like NYC, London, Paris forecast weather for their readers in the 19th century? Or did they not include forecasts yet?
The Times of London begin posting weather forecasts in 1861. Since the invention/deployment of the telegraph starting in 1835 people
"down wind" from a weather event could be notified of likely impending weather changes at their location.
