I think the knuckle knife was used during WWl/II by my great grandfathers. The question I have is about the bayonette; it's approximately 25 inches from end to end. I have no idea where it came from and it looks too large to be a stand issue from either World War. I was hoping I might be able to find some insight here. Thanks all!
Well, you seem to have a trench knife. That is, if you have a provenance for it- there are a lot of copies about, and if you could tie this to an actual soldier it would be worth much more.
Bayonet looks like an 1907 Enfield bayonet, for the SMLE. They had about a 17" blade. You can compare them here with other Enfield bayonets. But there are not many with the hooked quillion, like yours has. On the other hand, it might be Austrian , which has the same "swoop" to the blade, but the quillion hook is a bit different. If it's British, there should be a mark, at least the Broad Arrow. Perhaps a real bayonet collector will weigh in, here.
