You might still be able to swing it to be honest. Rather than explicitly considering social, economic and political change, you look at how those aspects changed society and vice versa. For politics you could talk about female representation in the political sphere, suffrage, pressure groups etc. and consider what cohesive or divisive forces in the political sphere affected society as a whole.
