The records of the Jedi were very thoroughly wiped by the Galactic Empire, so it's hard to find documents related to this question. However, it is known that there were many Jedi who were excommunicated over the history of the order, and it's likely that at least a few of them were a result of illicit substance use.

Ignore what any filthy rebel post-modernist will tell you, the Jedi were central in the death stick trade. In fact, the majority of their so-called "peace" missions were entirely for the purposes of smuggling illegal narcotics.
