Stuff and nonsense. The chart assumes that scientific progress in only a small portion of the galaxy (read: Coruscant) matters at all. During the so-called "Jedi Dark Ages" the Sith were blossoming quite well, having preserved much of the research and thoughts of the Rakatan, at least until the massive civil war that destroyed Korridan and the center of all Sith learning.

This is horribly inaccurate. The mainline warships of the Galactic Empire were not significantly stronger than those of the Old Republic, not were those of the Old Republic significantly stronger than the ships of the Trade Federation. Scientific progress slowed throughout the span of the Old Republic as the law of diminishing returns took effect. You can still see scientific progress by comparing the later vessels of the Galactic Empire to the pre-Clone Wars vessels, but this progress has greatly slowed over time as researchers continue to try to work around the limits of physics.

No, that is absolutely correct. The current age of enlightenment has only been ushered by removing the malign influences of superstition and other Jedi beliefs. The Galactic Empire has since had to devote a great deal of military resources as well as funding of academia to spreading the truth across the galaxy, and I for one am incredibly pleased that we are finally hearing the real story, not to mention honoured to play a small role in the telling of this tale. The works of rebel postmodernist scum accusing me of bias are, it goes without saying, to be ignored (unless you fancy a visit from the Imperial Department of Academic Accuracy, and let me tell you, you don't).
