While I can't answer any questions on the situation, the thought that there could be spoilers in history that is taught to every child is an amusing thought.

Due to the spoileriffic nature of a certain fan theory that not everyone is exposed to, do you mind resubmitting this with a slightly different title? I admit it is a bit hard, but something like "What facts are known in regards to the birth of Ned Stark's son John Snow?" Simply insinuating that Ned isn't the father might be too spoilery for some people, but I think that anyone looking to write about R+L=J would know what you are looking for ;-)
