Why haven't we decisively defeated Eastasia?

by Random832

Since Oceania, Eastasia, and Eurasia are of roughly equal strength (though obviously Oceania is superior to either one of them), and we've always been allied with Eurasia against Eastasia as the answers to this question clearly reaffirm, shouldn't this imbalance of power have long ago led to the destruction of Eastasia?

We're at war with Eurasia. We have always been at war with Eurasia.

Defeating Eastasia would be supremely easy, but it is entirely against the interests of The Party. By being in a constant state of war, The Party is able to instill fear and nationalism into the citizens of Oceania, thus strengthening their love for Big Brother. This keeps them loyal to The Party, and prevents the potential for thoughtcrime, and therefore insurrection. We could defeat Eastasia, but why would we want to?

We are at war with Eurasia, not Eastasia. Get it right, comrade.

Well Comrade the issue with defeating East Asia Eurasia is that our ally Eurasia East Asia is just not pulling their weight. Our brave military is always winning victories against East Asia Eurasia but we must give up the land we conquer liberate to retake and generously return land lost by our Eurasian East Asian friends.

I'll leave you with this to reflect on, in the few victories they're stumbled into East Asia's Eurasia's casualties have always been roughly 3 men and 2 slave children for every one of our stalwart volunteers and their loss ratio is double that in our spring offensive. A sure sign victory is just around the corner.

Good day fellow citizen.
