Decmber 7 1941

Why aren't students taught that Pearl Harbor was not the only base attacked by the Japanese on December 7? Japan's attack strategy is one that should be studied for it's logistical accuracy and genius, but why aren't the other two bases attacked mentioned in most historical texts?

I don't know what your definition of most is but if you're looking for texts concerning the Philippines and British Malaya/Singapore I recommend MacArthur and Defeat in the Philippines and Sinister Twilight: The fall of Singapore as starting points. There are actually quite a few texts on the subject and I am sure others will have their favorites to share as well.
