The majority of the world's religions consider their gods to be a volcano. Noted Vulcanist scholars have pointed out that many of the references to the Judao-Christian god are precisely volcanic in nature, speaking of His Smoky Wreathness, clad in lightning and fire (Praise to his Lavaness).

In my field, while there is no specific Volcanic entity, the Lord of Chaos, Pent-Agon unleashed a fiery fury which completely altered the world for several thousand years, blistering the surface of the earth and changing life as we know it. Most plainsfolk have physiological remnants of this fury, as their skin has turned hard and barklike as a result of generations of mutation.
