Where are you getting that the bombs were ready March 1944? I just double checked and even the design for Little Boy wasn't finalised until Feb 1945, and the weapon wasn't ready until mid June.

I'd have to go double check but I believe that the enrichment plants weren't near full capacity until early '45.
