Were Jesus's parabolic style of teaching unique to Him or did others teach in that manner? Do we have other parables from Jewish/Greek history?

Not even remotely unique. The most famous Greek examples are Aesop's fables. The difference between a "fable" and a "parable" is just that fables can use animals and plants as characters, while a parable supposedly only deals with people. Even still, a number of Aesop's fables also used human characters.
